Privacy Policy

Last updated: 2026. This policy explains how PaySaver collects, uses, stores and protects your personal information, and how you can make a complaint.

1. Business identity

PaySaver is operated and trading as PaySaver, ABN 15 680 834 242.

PaySaver operates as a customer referral and lead-generation service. We help customers identify household services they may wish to review and, where authorised, connect them with participating service providers. PaySaver does not itself provide electricity, telecommunications, insurance, lending or other third-party services. For privacy enquiries, contact us at paysaver.au@gmail.com.

2. Personal information we collect

Depending on the services you choose to enquire about, we may collect:

  • Full name
  • Email address
  • Mobile and telephone number
  • Residential postcode and address, where required
  • Household and service information relevant to your enquiry
  • Current provider and relevant service details
  • Information you voluntarily provide through our website forms
  • Records of your consent, referral selections and communications with us

We only seek information reasonably necessary to provide our referral service. Please do not submit passwords, banking login details, payment card details or other sensitive information through our forms.

3. Why we collect your information

We collect personal information to:

  • Process your PaySaver Check
  • Provide indicative household expense results
  • Understand which services you wish to review
  • Process referral requests
  • Connect you with participating service providers you have selected
  • Allow those providers to contact you about your enquiry
  • Maintain records of customer consent and referrals
  • Respond to enquiries, complaints and requests
  • Improve the operation and security of our website

4. Sharing your personal information

PaySaver may share your personal information with a participating service provider when you specifically request a referral and authorise us to do so. Where you authorise a referral, we will share only the information reasonably necessary for that referral. Before submitting a referral, we will identify the relevant provider and explain the purpose of sharing your information. Your information will not automatically be sent to every provider listed on PaySaver.

PaySaver does not authorise providers to use your information for unrelated marketing or to pass it to unrelated third parties without an appropriate legal basis and any required consent. A provider may engage service providers to assist with its operations, subject to its own privacy obligations.

5. Referral fees and commercial relationships

PaySaver may receive a referral fee, commission or other commercial benefit from a participating provider when a customer is referred. This commercial relationship helps fund the operation of PaySaver.

Receiving a referral payment does not mean that PaySaver has independently verified that the provider offers the cheapest or most suitable service. We disclose relevant referral arrangements so customers can make informed decisions.

6. Our relationship with providers

PaySaver is not an agent, representative or adviser of the providers, brokers or partners we refer you to, and we do not act on their behalf. Once we pass your details to a provider, we have no control over how that provider handles your information, how they price their products, or the service they give you. Each provider is responsible for its own products, pricing, advice and conduct, and their own terms and privacy policy will apply to your dealings with them.

7. Storage and security

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, interference, loss, unauthorised access, modification or disclosure. These steps may include access restrictions, secure website connections, password protection and appropriate security measures with third-party service providers. Personal information may be stored using website hosting, form processing, email, customer management and other technology providers engaged by PaySaver.

8. Overseas disclosure

Some third-party technology and website service providers may store or process information outside Australia. Where personal information is disclosed to overseas recipients, PaySaver will take the steps required by applicable Australian privacy laws. Where practicable, information about relevant overseas locations will be made available to customers.

9. Retention and deletion

PaySaver retains personal information only for as long as reasonably necessary for the purposes for which it was collected, including processing referrals, maintaining consent records, resolving disputes and meeting legal obligations. When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to securely destroy or de-identify it, unless we are required or permitted by law to retain it. You may contact us to request deletion of your information, subject to applicable legal recordkeeping requirements.

10. Access and correction

You may request access to personal information PaySaver holds about you and request corrections if information is inaccurate, incomplete or out of date. Requests can be made by contacting paysaver.au@gmail.com. We will respond within a reasonable period and in accordance with applicable privacy laws.

11. Withdrawal of consent

You may withdraw consent for future referrals or the sharing of your personal information by contacting paysaver.au@gmail.com. If your information has already been provided to a service provider, you should also contact that provider directly to discuss its continued use of your information. Withdrawing consent does not automatically require the deletion of records that PaySaver or the provider is legally required to retain.

12. Cookies

Our website may use cookies and similar technologies to help it function and to understand how visitors use it. You can adjust your browser settings to refuse cookies, though some parts of the site may not work as intended.

13. Privacy complaints

If you have a concern about how PaySaver handles your personal information, please contact us at paysaver.au@gmail.com. Please include details of your concern so we can investigate and respond.

If you are not satisfied with our response, you may be able to lodge a complaint with the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (OAIC) at https://www.oaic.gov.au/

14. Changes to this policy

PaySaver may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes to our business, services, technology or legal obligations. The current version will be published on our website with its latest update date.
